ACUVUE® is part of the Johnson & Johnson family and was launched in 1987, becoming the world’s first monthly disposable soft contact lens. The brand's success grew with the release of 1-DAY ACUVUE® lenses in 1995, the world’s first daily disposable contact lenses.

As the company evolved, so did their contact lens technology, adding more and more new products to the Acuvue range. Silicone Hydrogel in particular became a key component in both ACUVUE® ADVANCE® with HYDRACLEAR® technology and ACUVUE® OASYS® with HYDRACLEAR® PLUS lenses. Both products are made with highly breathable silicone hydrogel technology to offer optimal comfort and moisture to the eyes. Also a great addition to the range were the 1-DAY ACUVUE® MOIST daily disposable lenses which are market leaders in eye hydration.

Acuvue now carries a range of products designed to help sufferers of Astigmatism, including: ACUVUE® ADVANCE® for ASTIGMATISM, ACUVUE® OASYS® for ASTIGMATISM and 1-DAY ACUVUE® MOIST® for ASTIGMATISM. Their groundbreaking 1-DAY ACUVUE® TruEye, the world’s first Silicone Hydrogel daily disposable contact lenses, has cemented the brand's reputation as a market leader in contact lens technology innovation.
